I use our chaat masala on all of my veggies, so it makes complete sense that this blend works in a Bloody Mary where the veggies shine, including the tomato juice, celery, pickles, and whatever additional goodies you have in mind.
We tested it out ourselves this summer at my husband’s annual firm event around the Chicago Air & Water Show, and it was such a huge hit that folks have been buying their own jars of our lip-smacking spice blend.
We thought we'd better share the recipe, especially as we gear up for football season. I not only add chaat masala to the drink itself, but also garnish the rim with it. Sprinkle in a little paprika for a fun pop of color. Another option? Add a little brown sugar and go for a sweet-salty flavor profile. Simply wow!

P.S. Shoutout to my friend, Robin Subar, for these beautiful photos!
Rub a lemon/lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip the edge into a plate of chaat masala. Add some unsmoked paprika for a pretty color around the rim.
Fill a glass with ice.
Pour in the vodka and the Bloody Mary mix.
Add the chaat masala and any additional juices/sauces (pickle, pepper, lemon, or lime juice; hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, etc.) Stir well.
